Recruitment Coordinator
PEF Chattanooga seeks to hire a part-time College & Career Success Recruitment Coordinator to join its College & Career Success team. The work of this team centers around preparing and supporting students to get “to and through” college. The recruitment coordinator will work with the College & Career Success team to assure the growth and success of one of PEF’s signature programs, Camp College.
About the Role and Key Responsibilities
For 25 years, PEF's Camp College has guided Hamilton County seniors, especially marginalized students, toward college success. This 2.5-day program unlocks futures by providing the tools to apply to best-fit colleges, secure financial aid, and persist through graduation. Since 1999, over 1,200 students have joined us to pursue their dreams of earning degrees and thriving careers. Camp College ensures participants are fully prepared for college applications, financial aid, and the transition to higher education. The College & Career Success Recruitment Coordinator will plan and lead Camp College, connecting with high school students and families to support their college journey and senior year milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement an ongoing student recruitment strategy that aligns with the program's mission to provide college-going insight, guidance, and support.
Collaborate with educational partners, including middle schools, high schools, and community organizations, to promote program visibility and engage with and recruit prospective participants.
Help create and distribute recruitment materials, including flyers, informational packets, resource guides, and workshop handouts.
Serve as the primary contact for Camp College prospective and current participants, providing guidance, answering questions, and addressing any concerns before, during, and after the two-and-a-half-day program.
Maintain a database to track participant and alumni records and gather feedback through surveys and evaluations to improve future programming.
Coordinate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to produce social media strategies, press releases, and media appearances.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; minimum of 1 year experience in student services, student program coordination, or education outreach.
Knowledge of the college application process, financial aid resources, and academic preparation strategies.
Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and other collaborative digital tools such as Google Drive.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse students and family populations.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to recruit and keep students engaged.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with underrepresented or first-generation college-bound students.
Knowledge of community resources related to higher education access and financial aid.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Knowledge of social media platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
Ability to create fresh, interesting, compelling posts for multiple social media accounts.
Benefits and Compensation
Salary range: $20,000 - $25,000 annually
